Layered blocks of ochre, burnt orange and warm brown sit beneath loose loops of ultramarine blue, applied in thick, gestural strokes. Pale pink washes and scratched pencil lines run through the composition, while flecks of paint splatter across a white ground. Contrast is high, texture is heavy, and the marks feel loose and unresolved.
