A horizontal composition divides into two textural bands: a pale, weathered upper field in cream and white, scored with fine cracks and faint linear marks, above a darker blue-grey lower register suggesting water and horizon. Surface texture is heavily worked, with scraped impasto passages and soft tonal gradients throughout.
