A horizontal composition divides into soft bands of white, grey and pale ochre above a dark, textured base. Palette-knife strokes build layers of impasto across the surface, with fine scratched lines cutting through the paint. Warm brown and rust tones sit low near the horizon, contrasting against the muted black foreground and hazy upper field.
